Course Details

This course is accessible to all and is a great way to develop an understanding and appreciation of counselling. It will appeal to those who are looking for personal development or those who need counselling skills in their work.

You will be introduced to a basic knowledge of counselling, key skills and selected approaches to the process. Interpersonal communication, personal development issues and the application of theory to practice are all well explored. This course is also a stepping stone for those who want to prepare for a professional qualification.

The Iron Mill College's Certificate in Counselling meets one of the entry requirements of our BACP Accredited Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling programme.

Accreditation: Upon completion of this course, students will be invited to apply to our
Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling which is accredited by the BACP.

Venue: Cardiff, Exeter and Poole. 

Duration: 90 hours

Assessment: Book Review, Personal Journal, Presentation

Applicants should feel that they possess a maturity to reflect on their own development as a person, and should have an interest in and desire to learn about Counselling.

You will also need to pay a £350 enrolment deposit, in order to reserve your place.
