Module 1: An introduction and overview of Psychosynthesis, basic psychosynthesis personality theory. Working with multiplicity: balancing and integrating different ways of knowing; subpersonalitites as a way to understand and work with our inner diversity.

Module 2: The ”I” as essential identity and the centre of the personality. Meditation and becoming a mindful practitioner. Working with identification, dis-identification and Self identification.

Module 3: The processes of change from a psychosynthesis perspective. The creative use of pain, crisis and failure. Understanding inner conflict and working with the balance and synthesis of opposites. Working with the will.

Module 4: Transpersonal Psychosynthesis. Working with transpersonal qualities and liberating potential. Experiencing purpose and meaning. Doing and being –as the two dimensions of growth. Transpersonal will. The use of guided visualisation and the creative unconscious.

Beyond the individual. Investigating ecopsychosynthesis and asking how the well-being of others, society, and global issues are intimately linked.
Course Aims

To introduce basic psychosynthesis models and principles.

To provide opportunities to learn how these can be used to understand identity and facilitate personal development and transformation of within a transpersonal context.

To provide an opportunity to explore their own psychospiritual development in a psychosynthesis context.

To support the development of effective, reflective and self-aware practitioners by applying learning in both personal and professional contexts.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course participants will:
- be familiar with some of the key concepts of psychosynthesis.
- have learned to apply these concepts in their work.
- enhanced self awareness and deepened their capacity to work as a reflective practitioners.
- addressed questions of purpose and meaning and developed an understanding of the transpersonal as an essential element of well-being and mental health.

Entry requirements
This on-going CPD course is for those with appropriate training and experience, already working in counselling, psychotherapy or other psychologically-based helping professions who are interested in learning about the vision, principles and practice of Psychosynthesis and integrating these into their life and work.
