Post Qualifying Certificate in Psychosynthesis
Overview
-
Do you need to update your CPD portfolio? Would you benefit from expanding your horizons, broadening your perspectives and gaining more insights/tools when working with clients?
-
Do you feel ready for the challenge of exploring an approach different from your own core model?
-
Would you like to enhance your skills by adding a psychosynthesis approach to your work?
This course will give you an introduction to and grounding in Psychosynthesis, a form of ‘psychospiritual’ or ‘transpersonal’ psychology, (known as the ‘fourth force’ in modern psychology).
Psychosynthesis offers a holistic approach, embracing a psychological and spiritual context of what it means to be human. It connects with a deeper source of identity which can act as an integrating influence on the various (often competing) pulls from the personality and society, recognising a deeper pull to meaning, purpose and integration.
The course will offer a pragmatic approach to spirituality, not attempting to define the ultimate nature of spirit but rather focusing on lived experience, such as creative imagination, intuition and aspiration as well as a providing a psychospiritual perspective and approach to human suffering.
Psychosynthesis provides a dynamic, flexible model of human development; a sense of the importance of awareness, intention and will; ways of working with meaning, purpose and direction; an understanding of the significance of personal responsibility and the ideal of service; the proposition that ‘who we truly are’ encompasses individuality and universality. It also recognises the importance of integrating the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual in the development of effective practitioners and this vision will be reflected in the programmes content.
