Funding
You may find the following information useful in obtaining some funding towards your training
Funder Finder
Funder Finder is a UK charity that provides a piece of software that we have a licence for and is available at the Iron Mill. It enables you to search around 3000 trusts and charities for funding opportunities. It is based on your own personal circumstances including geographical location, where you went to school, current industry etc.
You are welcome to use the software when you are on site for an interview or taster day. If you wish to start looking straight away, you can get started at home by visiting http://www.funderfinder.org.uk/pin.php. It may also be worth checking with Funder Finder to see if there is a closer location where you can use the software should you not be able to access it from home. You can contact them through their website www.funderfinder.org.uk, the software is installed in some local libraries around the country.

Career Development Loans
Since they were launched in 1988 Career Development Loans (CDLs) have helped tens of thousands of people to give their careers a lift. Men and women from a wide range of educational and employment backgrounds – employed, self-employed and unemployed – have benefited from the opportunity to help them invest in learning.
CDLs are a longstanding programme, available within Great Britain (GB), intended to help remove the financial barrier to learning. Their aims are to increase the amount of vocational learning, encourage more individuals to take responsibility for their own learning, and to encourage financial institutions to view learning as an investment worthy of a loan.
