Workshop Description
In these two days, the training will explore the interface between issues of available time, the need to work through traumatic experience and the use of attachment theory. How can the practitioner offer a healing therapeutic relationship that focuses on dysfunctional patterns of attachment within the inevitable constraints of time available? What is the neurological basis for trauma and how does past experience and social pressures complicate current trauma?
Participants are offered an opportunity to explore current theories regarding attachment through the lens of an existential perspective and to develop the intensity of presence and awareness of context necessary for this work.
