Before qualifying as a counsellor, Emma worked as a bereavement support worker for both Cruse Bereavement, and Mosaic (a Dorset charity supporting bereaved families). Emma became interested inhow nature connections may provide a spiritual and energetic space to support her bereaved clients, and in 2019 qualified as a Nature and Therapy UK certified Forest Therapist.
Since 2019 Emma has worked within outdoor spaces with her clients. As well as being a mentor for Nature and Therapy trainee forest therapists across the UK, she also runs CPDs with Iron Mill and the Online Events team inviting counsellors to integrate nature into their counselling practices.
Emma currently has a key role supporting the mental health and well being of university students and school age children (Years 5 to 8).
Emma’s self-care involves the beach, paddle boarding, hugging beech trees and spending time with her children and dog Honey either on the beach or within the forest.
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Psychology degree, MBACP (Accred), Certified Forest Therapist (Nature and Therapy UK)
Role: Support tutor on Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
