Iron Mill Counselling Service

Who is the Iron Mill Counselling Service suitable for?

Why does Iron Mill College have a counselling service?

Iron Mill Counselling Service is a not-for-profit initiative which aims to increase the accessibility of counselling to the public by offering a more affordable alternative to people who might not be otherwise able to access counselling.

The service is predominantly staffed by mature adults who are currently undergoing professional training in counselling and/or psychotherapy with Iron Mill College and are supported in their work by experienced supervisors.

I’m a student with Iron Mill College, can I attend counselling with the Iron Mill Counselling Service?

No. At present the service acts as a placement opportunity for student counsellors and psychotherapists training with Iron Mill College.

We feel that it would not be appropriate for students at Iron Mill College to be a client of the in-house counselling service. This is due to dual role and boundary issues. It is also possible that in the future you might want to undertake a placement with us yourself.
