The workshop alternates between theory and practice, grounding cognitive understanding in embodied experience. Most of the practical work will take place outside. It will be a mix of individual, paired and group exercises.

Dr Adrian Harris is a psychotherapist who has worked in private practice since 2015 and is the Lead Editor of the European Journal of Ecopsychology (http://ecopsychology-journal.eu/). Adrian has been involved with ecotherapy since 2007 and has a Certificate in Ecotherapy from the Tariki Trust.
Adrian delivered a Keynote presentation on ‘Mindfulness in nature’ at Psychotherapy & the natural world in 2016.
He completed his training as a Focusing Oriented Therapist in 2015. He developed key aspects of his doctoral research in his paper ‘Gendlin and ecopsychology: focusing on nature’, which was published in Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapies in 2013. Since then, the power of Focusing has become more widely recognised, and Adrian has spent the last year developing a training programme with colleagues.
