Taster Days

taster-days (1)Experience what it's like to be a student at Iron Mill College at one of our Taster Days.

They are open to all and give you the chance to get a feel for our college before enrolling on a longer course.

Interactive and fun, our Taster Days are a fantastic way to experience the creative and inspiring teaching the college prides itself on. Explore and experience the unique learning environment we offer for yourself. A great opportunity to meet some of our highly experienced tutors and ask any questions you have about our courses or potential future pathways open to you.

Course Description

The day is designed to provide you with an introduction to Iron Mill College as a place of learning. You will also be encouraged to reflect upon your own experience and personal awareness.

The day provides an opportunity for you to begin to build a relationship with our tutors and for you to learn more about us, who we are and which course could be the right one for you. We usually start with an introductory talk about the ethos of Iron Mill College and a brief discussion about some factors to consider when applying for a course.

The rest of the day is spent in group activities, introducing some key skills and themes, with the opportunity to explore and experience different ways of working. The day ends with a discussion as a group.
